Wholesale Dried Herbs
As Tom and Deb Benner's knowledge of herbs grew, they looked for unique ways to use herbs in a culinary setting. So, in 2004, they decided to release their own line of specialty herb blends, made from herbs grown and dried on the farm. Using a special drying technique, Tom was able to preserve the aroma and flavour of fresh herbs. Combined with Deb's knowledge of preparing hearty and healthy food, they put together a line of dried herb blends that are perfect for just about any meal! These blends, along with our fresh herbs, are used extensively in our on-farm tea room. | Italian Salad Dressing Mix |
| - Contains oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dillweed, rosemary, ground black pepper and Cayenne pepper - This blend can be used to make either salad dressing or a marinade - For dressing, combine one and a half cups of herb blend, half cup vinegar, two and a half cups of water and three quarter cups oil. Shake well. Let stand for one hour - For marinade, combing one and a half cups of herb blend with half cup red wine, two teaspoons thyme, half-pound fresh mushrooms and one large sliced onion. Great for steak. |
